Kestrel ballistics systems
For precise determination of height and side corrections, we use Kestrel’s wind speed meters. The Applied Ballistics’ ballistics software integrated into these devices is considered to be among the most advanced in the field. This allows us to sight our clients’ weapons perfectly for all hunting distances.
The client then only has to set the distance to the target on the ballistic turret of his telescopic sight to ensure an accurate shot.
Since the summer of 2021, Scheiring is also the Austrian importer of the products of the US company Kestrel.
We can calculate the ballistic coefficients of our SMB (Scheiring Monolithic Bullets) using radar measurement and electronic hit detection, which can be used for distances of up to 1,000 metres without difficulty. This allows us to calculate the flight path of our bullets precisely over long distances. This creates ideal conditions for hunting and training.
